2024 Internatinal Women’s Trombone Choir
An ITF Special Programming Event
The International Women’s Trombone Choir is an ensemble of professional trombonists from across the world. Made up of university professors, orchestral, commercial, jazz, and popular music performers, and teachers of all ages, the ensemble represents the contributions of women to excellence in trombone performance and pedagogy. Founded in 2021 by Dr. Karen Marston, Director of the ITF, and first conducted by Ava Ordman, this performance continues the tradition of featuring and celebrating women in music at the International Trombone Festival. Dr. JoDee Davis, Professor of Trombone at the UMKC Conservatory, proudly conducts the group, and welcomes guest conductor Noelia Escalzo and trombone soloists Evelyn Carlson, Sasha Romero, and Jennifer Hinkle.
