ITF Presenters
Every day at the ITF is jam-packed with recitals, classes, and lectures. This year’s program will feature nearly fifty presenters, representing top teachers, performing artists, and researchers chosen through a juried application process, and traveling to Salt Lake from across the US, and as far away as Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. Lecture topics range from alto trombone techniques to Jazz and historical research, while concerts will feature everything from chamber ensembles to folk music and experimental techniques. A few highlights from this group include a new method for teaching and playing Brazilian music from Marcos Botelho, Professor of Trombone and Chamber Music at Goiás Federal University (UFG) Brazil, a program of traditional Mexican music with Miguel Salvador Palacios, “Trombone Theater” with James Patrick Crossland, and Bram Meese’s innovative “Slide’n Beats,” the newest program from the Crossbones, combining trombone and dance beats.
